Family of 5 Displaced by Osceola Home Fire

OSCEOLA – A fire in Osceola has displaced a family of 5 over the weekend.

Osceola fire responded at 7 p.m. Saturday night to the fire on the 200 block of South State Street, and fire crews from Stromsburg, Shelby, Polk, and Rising City also responded, says Osceola Fire Chief Toby Watts.

Watts says there were no injuries as a result of the fire, but the blaze did displace a mother and four children who were living at the residence.

Crew finished at the scene at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The home is considered a total loss.

The fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
