Floodplain Permits Required For Rulo Flood Victims

RULO – Richardson County Emergency Management is advising property owners in the Rulo riverfront and Lewis & Clark Estate areas that they must have a floodplain permit before beginning any repairs or reconstruction.

Emergency management is required to complete a damage assessment of all structures for the disaster declaration.

The Missouri River at Rulo reached major flood stage for the first time since 2011 on March 15, 2019. The river crested at a record high of 27.46 feet on March 17.

The river continues at moderate flood stage on March 27, nearly seven feet above flood stage.
