Heard Enters Not Guilty Plea To Magnolia Metal Theft

AUBURN – Justin Heard, 26, entered a not guilty plea Monday to burglary at Magnolia Metal.

Heard is suspected of taking brass alloys owned by the foundry to a recycling center in Council Bluffs. Prosecutors say the recycling center paid over $13,000 for brass.

Judge Julie Smith told Heard Monday that he faces up to 20 years in prison on the burglary charges. A pre-trial conference is set April 8.
