Deputy Otoe County Attorney John Palmtag told the court that deputies conducted a search of his residence on Saturday under authority of Stutheit’s post-conviction release.

Palmtag said Stutheit has previously been convicted of meth possession in 2016 and 2017. He was released from the Nebraska Corrections Youth Facility on April 2.

Palmtag recommended the $100,000 bond. Palmtag: “He is a significant risk to re-offend.”

Stutheit told the judge that he is scheduled to begin a drug rehabilitation program soon.
