PLATTSMOUTH – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is alerting motorists to a Highway 34 construction project.
The state Department of Roads is expected to begin the project from the Union corner to west of 66th Street on Monday, March 26th.
The Union West project includes 6.1 miles of resurfaced asphalt on the highway and about a mile of Nebraska Spur 13D.
Repairs to three bridges are also planned. The highway will be re-aligned to accommodate more guardrails for the bridge over the Weeping Water Creek near Road 12.
Construction is expected to be complete in the fall of 2018. There will be lane closures with temporary traffic control.
