Man Accused of Sex Offender Registry Violation Near School

SIDNEY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man investigators say has been living near a school in violation of the state’s sex offender registration laws.

Sheriff’s deputies investigated the alleged violation Wednesday in Sidney.

A press release says Nathan Mulhausen, 22, of Elliott, Iowa, has been living in Sidney, within 2,000 feet of a school, since mid-December, in violation of his registry requirements.

Deputies arrested Mulhausen for suspicion of a subsequent offense of violating the sex offender registry.
