Man Injured After Jeep Malfunctions, Hits Tree

COLUMBUS – A man was reportedly injured after his jeep malfunctioned and veered into a tree, say police.

A 28-year-old man told police, he was driving his 2012 Jeep Liberty eastbound in an alley between 12th and 13t Street, when his clutch malfunctioned, says reports. The man’s Jeep then left the road way to the south side of an alley striking a tree, says police reports.

CPD say the jeep suffered minor damage, estimated at $900, and the extent of the man’s injuries are unknown, but appear to be minor. The accident occurred Friday evening at 8:40 p.m., says police reports.
