93-Year-Old Driver Blamed For Highway 2 Crash

SYRACUSE – Syracuse rescue transported drivers of both vehicles after a 4:48 p.m. collision on Highway 2 west of Syracuse Tuesday.

A Syracuse resident, 93-year-old Clarence Zeiger,  was driving a Grand Caravan and attempted to cross Highway 2 on 28th Road.

The van was struck in the driver’s side by an eastbound Ford Escape driven by 59-year-old Teresa Meyer of Tecumseh.

Investigators say the Syracuse man failed to yield right of way to the Highway 2 traffic.
