Mixture of Sleet, Snow This Morning, in Southeast Nebraska

BEATRICE – Snowfall failed to materialize in the Beatrice area overnight, although sleet had begun to come down, at about 4:30, Thursday morning.

National Weather Service forecasters are now expecting one to two inches of snow in the Beatrice area, with winds gusting from the northwest, up to 35 miles-per-hour.  The snow could mix with freezing rain during the morning hours, with temperatures expected to drop to the mid-teens, by late morning.

Forecasters are now expecting little or no ice accumulation in the Beatrice area.  A winter weather advisory will continue until 6 p.m.  Forecasters caution that some areas of southeast Nebraska could have icy road conditions, and blowing snow could restrict visibility.
