FALLS CITY – An April 3 pre-trial is scheduled for a Hiawatha, Kan., man police say was found in Falls City with morphine, methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle.
Police arrested Cullen Harrell on a warrant on Jan. 13 and told the court illegal drugs were found in his pocket.
About 12 days later, Falls City police say Harrell was subject to a traffic stop based on a Kansas warrant. An arrest affidavit says an item fell from Harrell’s pocket while he was being arrested and Harrell stepped on it.
The officer says Harrell resisted arrest by refusing to step away from the item that had fallen.
It was later identified as morphine.
The Richardson County Court has also scheduled March 19 hearing for Nina M. Travis, 22, of Humboldt. Court records say she failed to appear Monday on a Nov. 14 possession charge.
