A 49-year-old man was flown to a Lincoln hospital Saturday after his motorcycle and a pickup collided near Eagle in Cass County.
Todd Stevens of Elmwood was taken to Bryan Medical Center’s west campus. A hospital spokeswoman said Sunday that she had no information on Stevens’ condition.
Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office determined that Stevens’ 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was eastbound on U.S. Highway 34 west of Eagle at 4:30 p.m. A 2001 Ford Explorer driven by William Romero, 25, of Crete was northbound on Nebraska Highway 63 when it turned west onto Highway 34.
Stevens was unable to avoid the truck and collided with the driver’s-side door. Romero, who was uninjured, was cited for failure to yield.
A passenger in the pickup was also uninjured. Both occupants were using seat belts.
