Nebraska City Man Charged With Stabbing

NEBRASKA CITY – A 25-year-old Nebraska City man is scheduled for a court appearance Monday on accusations that he stabbed a man during a fight on Aug. 25.

Trenton Spidell, who was released from Otoe County Jail in mid-July after serving a sentence for possession of methamphetamine, is accused of stabbing 19-year-old Brenden P. Kenter in the leg.

An arrest affidavit says police met Kenter at CHI St. Mary’s, where he went for treatment of a six-centimeter slash made by a pocket knife.

The affidavit says the men were having issues over the burglary of a house after a police raid.
