Nebraska City Superintendent Dr. Jeff Edwards accepts same position at Grand Island Northwest

GRAND ISLAND – A southeast Nebraska superintendent is taking over a central Nebraska school district.

Officials with the Northwest District in Grand Island announced Sunday that current Nebraska City superintendent Jeff Edwards has accepted that same position for the Northwest District.

The School Board approved Edwards’ hiring on a 5-0 vote at a special meeting on Saturday.

Edwards’ contract is expected to be approved at the Board’s April meeting. He’ll take over for current superintendent Matt Fisher on July 1st.
