No Injuries From Rear-End Collision, Near Blue Springs

BEATRICE – Both drivers in a two-vehicle accident near Blue Springs escaped injury, Thursday morning.

Gage County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by 39-year-old Jessica Hooper, of Blue Springs was stopped on U.S. Highway 77 facing west, waiting to turn south onto her driveway.  A pickup driven by 66-year-old Barbara Jones of Wymore was westbound.  The GMC Sierra pickup struck the rear of the Kia Forte, driven by Hooper.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts in the 7:45 a.m. collision.  Wymore Fire, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Nebraska State Patrol also responded to the scene near Blue Springs.

Sheriff’s officials say citations are pending and the investigation of the accident continues.
