No Injuries In Highway Collision Of Truck and Horse Trailer

WEEPING WATER – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports a Thursday afternoon accident at the intersection of highways 50 and 34.

56-year-old Shari Lindsey of Weeping Water was driving west bound on Highway 34 in a 2004 Chevrolet pickup, pulling a horse trailer containing two horses. Lindsey  approached the intersection of Highway 50 when a Ruan truck and semi-trailer was south on Highway 50 and entered Highway 34 in her path.

The truck was driven by 34-year-old Daniel Bursey of Eudora Kan.

Bursey told investigators he did not see the pickup approaching the intersection.

Lindsey attempted to miss the truck and semi-trailer, but still collided with the rear corner of the trailer. The drivers were not injured.

Lindsey’s pickup is totaled and the horse trailer received damage, but the horses are uninjured.
