LORTON – Seven months after closing the Highway 128 bridge east of Lorton, construction crews are reporting the goal of a Nov. 1 opening date.
The bridge, part of the Highway 67 improvement project bid out to K-2 Real Estate Development of Lincoln, is erected. Crews were pouring concrete railings on Thursday afternoon.
Once the culvert is in place, crews will asphalt a new driving surface.
The Nebraska Department of Roads has projected a November completion date and crews on the scene say there is a lot of work to do to make that happen on Nov. 1.
