NRD Considers New Park Fees Ahead of Duck Creek Opening

TECUMSEH – The Nemaha Natural Resources District Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9.

The agenda includes requirements for approving wells in Richardson County, an elevation change for the road culvert at Buck Creek and changes to park fees.

In October, the board considered park maintenance costs compared to park fees.

Director Tim Loseke said changes to recreation area rules are needed before Duck Creek opens. The use of UTVs on interior roads and parking areas was discussed.

In October, the board accepted an $11,500 bid from Elk Creek Welding for picnic shelters at the Duck Creek Recreation Area.
