NEBRASKA CITY – The Otoe County Attorney’s Office has filed charges of distributing methamphetamine against four Nebraska City residents.
Police and a Nebraska State Patrol SWAT team executed a search warrant at 413 Fourth Corso early Friday morning and say pipes used to smoke methamphetamine and a plate with a crystal substance that field tested as meth were located in the kitchen area accessible to anyone in the residence.
Christian R. Hoefling, 23, Roy Chase, 34, Chelsea Sailors, 26, and Michael Hord, 35, are charged with distribution.
Investigators say 13 grams of methamphetamine was found in various locations, including a bag in the pocket of Chase, who lives at the residence. 13 grams would typically provide for 52 uses of the illegal drug. Plastic bags and a scale were also found.
Judge Thomas Harmon set bond at 10 percent of $30,000 for Hoefling and Sailors. Sailors was released when a Brownville woman posted $3,000 bond. Bond for Chase and Hord is set at $50,000. Prosecutors told the judge that Hord has 21 arrests and 32 convictions on his record.
Chase waived preliminary hearing and is scheduled for arraignment in district court on Aug. 15.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for the other three in county court on Sept. 18.
