Platte River Surge Arriving At Plattsmouth

PLATTSMOUTH – The Platte River flood surge is expected to arrive at Plattsmouth this afternoon.
The river stage was at 32.4 feet this morning and is expected to begin leveling off just at the 35-foot major flood line. The record flood stage is 36.7 feet.

The Platte River at Louisville rose sharply today from about 8 feet to 11.4 feet just inches below the major flood line. The Platte is expected to continue in the moderate flood stage through the weekend.

The flood surge arrived at Louisville at 2 p.m.
