Plattsmouth Man Arrested With Guns, Ammo and Flash Grenade

PLATTSMOUTH – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports an arrest on New Year’s Day and the discovery of a flash grenade and weapons.
Deputies arrested 31-year-old Matthew Walton after responding to Buccaneer Boulevard in Plattsmouth.
Walton is suspected of assaulting his mother and threatening his father with a firearm.
Authorities seized three firearms from the vehicle he was driving, along with a tactical vest, several rounds of ammunition and knives.
The NSP bomb squad was called to the scene for a suspicious looking device along with the ATF. A flash bang grenade was seized by the NSP bomb squad.
The sheriff’s office is pursuing charges including weapon possession, defaced firearm, terroristic threats and driving under the influence.
