LINCOLN, Neb. – Two “persons of interest” in the disappearance and apparent death of Sydney Loofe remain at the center of the investigation with at least one still cooperating, according to police.
“We’re continuing to speak with Aubrey Trail and we’ll continue to do so as long as he’s willing to do that,” says Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister.
Bliemeister would not say if 23-year-old Bailey Boswell was talking.
Using digital evidence and boots on the ground police believe Sydney Loofe’s body was found yesterday in rural Clay County.
“By their own statements on social media, we believe that Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell were two of the last people to have known to have been with Sydney, prior to her disappearance,” says Bliemeister.
Bleimeister said authorities were still investigating how Loofe wound up in Clay County, and the cause of death. He did say there was “evidence of foul play.”
