Police Say Vice Ran From Police Through Falls City Neighborhood

FALLS CITY – A Falls City man accused of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, escaping and possession of illegal drugs in Richardson County is set for an August arraignment.

An arrest affidavit says there was an active arrest warrant out for  33-year-old Jeremy Vice  when police made contact with him on July 21.

The affidavit says Vice slapped an officer’s hands away from him to prevent from being handcuffed and ran through a Lane Street neighborhood. He was tackled three blocks away near Morton  Street by an off-duty police officer.

Investigators say Vice’s backpack contained a syringe and spoon with suspected methamphetamine.

Bond was set with a $5,000 provision.

Vice is also wanted in Nemaha County on allegations of burglary of a Brownville residence, where a Honda Pioneer UTV was reported stolen on June 3.
