Police Say Walmart Shoplifter Left In Freight Truck With Meth

NEBRASKA CITY – Police arrested three Nebraska City residents Thursday for suspicion of methamphetamine after stopping a truck and semi-trailer linked to a shoplifting report.

Walmart asset protection employees reported that a man had stationed a cart loaded with electronics by a fire emergency exit door, put a roll of tape in his pocket and eventually ran from the building and got into the freight truck.

An arrest  affidavit says passengers in the truck, 36-year-old Marshae Wolf and 38-year-old Dennis Lee, as well as driver 44-year-old Jeremy Smith, deny knowledge of meth found in the truck. Lee denied taking anything from Walmart.

Police say other items seized include clean and dirty needles, digital scales, torches and a methamphetamine pipe.

A new roll of electrical tape was found in the sleeper compartment.
