AUBURN – Several possession charges have been filed in River Country.
In Nemaha County, 40-year-old Carrie Sealock of Auburn is charged with illegal possession of Alprazolam while Jarold Mowery, 37, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both are scheduled for June 5 court appearances.
In Johnson County, 58-year-old Gary Vaughn of Auburn is charged with possession of methamphetamine.
A sheriff’s deputy reported finding Vaughn walking along Highway 136 between Auburn and Tecumseh. He told the deputy his vehicle had run out of gas on his way to court. The deputy told the court he found a pipe with meth in Vaughn’s pocket.
Steven Baney, 22, of Talmage is also charged with possession after he was found walking along a gravel road.
A state trooper reported finding a glass pipe and meth rolled up in a sweatshirt Baney was carrying. Baney told the trooper he had not crashed his vehicle, but Johnson County Sheriff Scott Walton said Baney’s truck was found crashed in a nearby ravine.
