Probationer Is Yet To Check In After 100 Days

NEBRASKA CITY – It has been 100 days and counting since a district judge sentenced Christian Hoefling to probation and he is yet to check in or contact a probation officer.

On Friday, the state filed a motion indicating that the 24-year-old Nebraska City man may have absconded.

Hoefling was arrested with three others when officers searched a Fourth Corso residence and found over 12 grams of meth. Prosecutors reduced a distribution charge to possession and Hoefling was sentenced to probation.

The court has scheduled a Dec. 12 hearing to consider if the terms of that probation have been violated.
