Pumpkins For Kids, at Main Street Event

BEATRICE – A little rain didn’t appear to spoil the fun for kids and their parents, turning out for Thursday’s Main Street Beatrice “Night of the Great Pumpkin”.

Kids ten and under, could pick out a free pumpkin on Court Street and receive candy and other treats handed out by downtown businesses.   Games, clowns, and displays by the city’s fire, police and street departments were part of the festivities.

Kids could have a costume photo taken and the downtown movie theatre featured a Bugs Bunny Howl-Oween Special, where kids got in free with a one-dollar adult ticket.

Children also could eat for free at Valentino’s and Four-One-Eight.  Popcorn, hot dogs and cupcakes were available during the five to seven p.m. Halloween event.
