A long repair project is scheduled to begin Monday morning on the Plattsmouth toll bridge over the Missouri River.
Bob Colbert, manager of the bridge, said some closures will occur during some of a contractor’s work on the bridge’s gussets, deck and cross beams.
He said the estimated $534,000 project will take 80 to 120 days to complete.
Colbert urged motorists to pay attention to signs on both sides of the river for developments and lane closings.
Nebraska motorists can avoid delays on the Plattsmouth bridge by taking U.S. Highway 75 north to the Bellevue bridge or using the highway south to the Nebraska City bridge.
On the Iowa side of the river, motorists can take Interstate 29 north or south to both bridges.
