River Country Remains “Frost Free” Through Cold Night

NEBRASKA CITY – The freeze warning for central Nebraska and northern Kansas this morning and the frost advisory for most of River Country remains in effect until 10 a.m., but so far there’s been no window scraping here.

The Nebraska City Municipal Airport reports an air temperature of 44 degrees Tuesday at 3 p.m. Last night, 12 hours later, the temperature had dropped to 39 degrees. It was at 36 degrees at 7:15 a.m.

Brenner Field at Falls City had a high of 50 degrees at midnight Tuesday. It was three degrees cooler at midnight last night and was 39 degrees at 7 a.m. today.

Plattsmouth reports 35 degrees at 7 a.m. today. It was 44 degrees at midnight and there was a high of 47 degrees at 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
