NEBRASKA CITY – Riverview Marina has re-opened following the latest round of Missouri River flooding and is getting ready for the fall season.
Kevin Holliday, who oversees the 16 areas in Game and Parks’ southeast region, said the state is in the process of cleaning it up and hopes to have it ready for the Labor Day weekend.
Holliday called the marina one the commission’s most used access points to the river.
Holliday: “. We have a boat ramp and the dock there that is very important for the city and our Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, so we enjoy that area. It’s an important area for this community and the state of Nebraska.”
Holliday attended the My RiverFront meeting Tuesday at Nebraska City, where he said the state is open to idea regarding riverfront improvements.
