Separate Arrests for Drug Violations, Made by Gage County Officers

BEATRICE –  Gage County law officers report arrests in separate drug incidents, this week.

45-year-old Dale Fletcher was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and driving on a revoked license.  Authorities say Fletcher had come to the Gage County Sheriff’s to bond someone out, when an officer suspected that he was under the influence of a stimulant.

Fletcher left, but was later contacted by a probation officer and deputy.  Fletcher agreed to come back to the sheriff’s office, where he was taken into custody.   Court records indicate he is on a federal probation term.  Records showed Fletcher had a 2004 DUI conviction.  His bond was set at $10,000, with has court hearing scheduled, for February 27th.

A separate arrest came following a traffic stop Thursday night, on U.S. Highway 77, about six miles south of Cortland.  A deputy clocked a vehicle going 75 miles per hour in a 65 zone.  During the stop, the law officer located a small clear cylinder with a crystal-like substance in it, in the driver’s side door.  Also recovered from a container in a backpack, were two glass pipes, which contained suspected drug residue.

Rodney Foss

38-year-old Rodney Foss was arrested, on suspicion of possession of an illegal drug.  His appearance bond is set at $5,000, with a Gage County Court hearing set for March 6th.
