Snow Covering Roads as System Moves Across State

COLUMBUS – The area looks to be getting an early glimpse of winter on Tuesday, as a snow system passes through the state.

The system is moving from west to east, according to doppler radar, and several major highways are reported to be snow covered.

The areas of Central City and Grand Island are reported to be snow covered, as of 11:52 a.m., including Highway 30. It appears that the storm system will begin coming over the Nance, Platte, Butler, Colfax, and Polk County areas over the lunch area, into the early afternoon.

The snow showers could continue throughout the afternoon, but the snow storm appears to be moving just south of Norfolk.
