PLATTSMOUTH – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports an injury accident at the intersection of highways 34 and 50 on Monday evening.
A Ford F150 pickup, driven by 61-year-old Jonnie Proffit of Ypsilanti, Mich., stalled while crossing the intersection.
The sheriff says a International truck and semi-trailer driver by 24-year-old Jacob Boyer of Overland Park, Kan., struck the stalled pickup.
Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Weeping Water Fire and Rescue and Cass County Emergency Management Agency Paramedics, responded.
Proffit was transported to Bergan Mercy Medical Center for medical treatment.
