NEBRASKA CITY – Despite heavy rain in the forecast, the Steamboat Trace Bike Ride had 19 registered.
Skies were overcast and chilly temps, but there was no rain at the 9 a.m. start at the Arbor Spur Trailhead south of Nebraska City.
It is officially the second year of the event, but last year’s ride was rained out.
This year’s event matched up with homecoming activities at Peru State College.
A portion of the trail near Brownville, was closed due to flooding this fall.
