Stovall Takes Lead With Half Of Precincts Counted

NEBRASKA CITY – With nine of 15 Otoe County precincts reporting, we see a lead change in district 1 Otoe County board.

Cari Stovall Lee is now leading with 76 votes, 47 percent of the total. She is followed by James Thurman, 55 votes and Matt Watkins, 29.

For district 2 county board, incumbent Rick Freshman is leading with 224 votes, about 44 percent of the total. Shane Allgood has 160 votes for 32 percent and Howard Bebout has 116 votes.

For Otoe County sheriff, Republicans are choosing Jeffrey Lant with 558 votes. He has 48 percent of the total about halfway through.

Deputy Dan Lionberger has 301 votes and Deputy Brian Briley has 24 percent.

For governor, Republicans are backing Pete Ricketts with 977 votes. Challenger Krystal Gabel has 15 percent of the vote.
