Gage Area Growth Enterprise Executive Director Walker Zulkoski says the hope is to use the consultant study results to convince developers to look at the area, for new lodging construction.

The study made recommendations about what should be included in any new lodging facility, such as meeting or convention space, pool and breakfast facilities.  It did not make any recommendation regarding related services nearby, such as a new restaurant.

Meanwhile, a separate consultant study regarding retail marketing of the downtown Beatrice area is yet to be finalized.

The NGage Board of Directors held their monthly meeting, yesterday.  It was publicly announced that Senior Development Specialist Glennis McClure has left the organization, to take a position with the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension, and is based on the East Campus of UNL.

NGage will hold their annual meeting, February 13th.  The guest speaker at a dinner event will be Barry Kennedy, Executive Director of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry.   Kennedy is retiring this coming year, from the organization.  He is a Pawnee City native.
