Sun Glare Blamed For Pedestrian Accident

PLATTSMOUTH – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports a pedestrian accident in Louisville Friday afternoon.

A 2004 Honda Pilot driven by 92-year-old Eugene Grimm of South Bend was turning onto Second Street when it hit a man attempting to cross the street in the crosswalk.

The pedestrian, 66-year-old Gary Schmohr of Louisville, was taken by Louisville Rescue to Bergan Mercy Hospital.

Grimm told investigators he could not see Schmohr because of sun glare. He was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
