Svoboda Sentenced To Additional Year In Prison

NEBRASKA CITY – Chad Svoboda, 49, of Syracuse has been sentenced to a year in prison for possession of methamphetamine.

Otoe County sheriff deputies arrested Svoboda Jan. 7 after a car hit mailboxes along Park Street. Court records say over 5 grams of meth was found in the car and nearly two grams on his person.

District Judge Julie Smith made his possession sentence consecutive to the four-year term his is serving in state prison for a Lancaster County burglary.
