Syracuse Approves Church Sign, Germanfest Events

SYRACUSE – The Syracuse City Council adopted an ordinance to give the United Methodist Church permission to place their new sign in the front of the church.

The sign placement is among the finishing touches for the new building, which replaces a building destroyed by fire in January of 2014.

The Germanfest Committee also updated the council on events scheduled July 14. The committee offered its thanks to contributors for the first concert to cap off the night of Germanfest.

The city renewed its contract with Papillion Sanitation for garbage collection and approved Brent Teten for the volunteer fire department.
