SYRACUSE – The Syracuse City Council has hired Jill Rowe Crook to provide new leadership for the city’s parks and recreation departments.
Crook is a lifelong Syracuse resident that has been involved in numerous aspects of the community, including volunteer work and sports programs.
Crook will report directly to the mayor and city council. She is responsible for reviewing the mayor’s budget proposals and management of the swimming pool.
Cody Pester was hired as a full-time parks employee to to oversee the cemetery. Pester will be in charge of mowing and snow removal. He will also help out with other departments.
