Teen Sentenced To Probation After NC School Threat

NEBRASKA CITY – A 16-year-old Nebraska City girl was sentenced in connection to the threats that shut down Nebraska City schools in April.

The teen was sentenced in juvenile court on June 20  to 12-months probation, 50 hours community service, a curfew, counseling and getting her GED.

When asked about the case, County Attorney David Partsch refused to comment about specifics, but did say that he believes this is just a part of ongoing national issues regarding teen behavior and mental health.

Partsch: “Making sure that our youth understand  how serious words can be but in my view you know a threat like this is kind of another form of bullying almost , you know they’re attacking people with their words.”
