BEATRICE – Family and friends gathered at the 4-H extension office to honor a man who gave 42 years of service before his retirement.
Paul Hay is now officially retired, but his family, along with some former co-workers and friends, wanted to make sure he is celebrated for years to come.
Two trees, a red oak and a ginkgo, were planted on opposite sides of the building. Also, a commemorative plaque will be added to them listing the tree species and Hay’s name.
If you would personally like to say goodbye to Hay, there will be an open house from 3-6 p.m. today. It will be held at the Extension Office.
