BEATRICE – Beatrice Police have arrested two suspects in a burglary of a gas station and convenience store, using the business’s surveillance video to help identify one of the arrested men.

Police arrested 19-year-old Austin Watts and 19-year-old Michael Grant, both of Beatrice.  Police investigated the break-in of Nick’s Shell Station at 900 Court Street, which happened in the early morning hours of Monday.

Authorities say Watts was identified in surveillance video by two different witnesses.  Police obtained enough evidence to obtain a warrant and conduct a search on his residence.  Items taken in the burglary were located there.  Police also identified Grant, as an accomplice.

Both suspects are being held in the Gage County Jail, where they were booked for burglary.
