Two Injured On Foggy Highway 75 Intersection

NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue transported two people to the hospital Tuesday night after an accident on a foggy Highway 75 south of Nebraska City.

Investigators say a Nissan Rogue driven by 53-year-old Mary Walters went past the stop sign on K Road in dense fog. Walters’ SUV went onto the northbound lanes of Highway 75. The car continued to also cross the southbound lanes, when it was hit in the rear by a Nissan driven by 29-year-old Heather Chandler of Falls City.

Minor injuries were reported to Walters and a passenger, Michael Walters.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
