Very cold wind chills will continue through Tuesday morning

VALLEY, Neb. – A wind chill advisory remains in effect from 7 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Tuesday for all of southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa, and Holt and Andrew Counties in northwest Missouri. Atchison and Nodaway Counties remain under a wind chill warning.

Expect very cold wind chills to range from 15 below zero to 25 below zero. The frigid wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

A wind chill advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
