BEATRICE – It’s Vietnam War Veterans Day in Nebraska….

:17                  “officially proclaimed”….(applause)….

Governor Pete Ricketts led a ceremony was held at the Nebraska State Capitol honoring Nebraska Vietnam War veterans and their family members.

:30                  “enjoy here, today”

Nebraska National Guard Adjutant General Daryl Bohac said the Vietnam Veterans continue to express their dedication to their country and their fellow veterans.

:40                  “and dignity”

There were 396 Nebraskans who lost their lives during the Vietnam War….and sixteen Nebraskans are still listed as missing in action.  Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary John Hilgert led those attending the ceremony in a moment of silence, to remember those who lost their lives and those still missing.
