Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann reports a two vehicle accident at the intersection of highways 50 and 34 Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Desiree F. Swanson age 16 of Omaha was driving a Chrysler Sebring southbound on Highway 50 and attempted to cross Highway 34.
A red 1992 Mazda Protege driven by John Sheppherd age 48 of Cedar Bluffs was traveling eastbound Highway 50.
Sheppherd and his two passengers and Swanson and her passenger were wearing seat belts and all air bags were not deployed.
All parties were transported to the hospital, with two being transported to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and the other three transported by Elmwood Rescue to Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.
It appears Swanson did not observe the Sheppherd’s vehicle, due to a truck and semi-trailer which was turning in front of her.
