NORFOLK – As East Norfolk Avenue gets set to close this week, a new website will be giving residents updates on how the construction is going.
The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce has set up eastnorfolkavenue.com. The website, published under the Chamber’s “Norfolk Now” extension, will have updates on the progress of the construction, as well as pictures and videos that show the concept of the project and how it is slated to look when done.
The website also features a section for frequently asked questions, and contact info for city officials.
The $5.7 million project will replace the Norfolk Avenue Bridge, install a new water main and construct a new five-lane road with decorative and street lighting.
The closure of Norfolk Avenue is expected to last until November.
