“What Allegations” Asks Vice At Richardson County Hearing

FALLS CITY – A Falls City man accused of escaping police in July appeared in Richardson County court Tuesday on a motion to revoke his post release supervision.

32-year-old Jeremy Vice was earlier sentenced to 18-months supervision for domestic assault.

Deputy Richardson County Attorney Samantha Scheitel told the court Monday that Vice was arrested on a separate charge in April and probation has not heard from him.

Vice asked Judge Julie Smith to reduce his bail provision to $100, but Scheitel objected.

Vice interrupted the prosecutor asking “what allegations?”

Judge Smith told Vice she believes the state is alleging that he absconded and his whereabouts were unknown after his release from custody in March.

The judge reduced his $50,000 bond to $25,000.

Vice is also wanted in Nemaha County for suspicion of burglary of a Brownville residence.
