NORFOLK, NE — A light snow is falling in northeast Nebraska around the noon hour.
Traffic is moving normally on most main roads in Norfolk as city street crews have been out de-icing roads. Many untreated side streets are still slick.
It doesn’t seem like the region will hit initial forecasted snow amounts of three to five inches, making two straight storms where totals haven’t met projections. The light snow is good news for drivers, but not for students. Norfolk Public Schools has not had a snow day this school year.
Wind gusts exceed 30 miles in the region and there remains a chance of freezing drizzle the rest of the day.
