VALLEY – Another winter storm is expected to hit Nebraska.

Tuesday morning the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for much of eastern Nebraska through Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Potential snowfall amounts have increased from Tuesday’s forecasts. The N-W-S now says that most of the eastern third of the state can expect at least 6″ of snow. The farther east you go, the more the snow is expected to fall, with 9″ possible in cities like Omaha, Fremont, West Point, Tekamah and Pender.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall overnight Tuesday before tapering off around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for counties in central Nebraska, where around 3-5″ inches of snow is expected.
